Do you realy make money trading Forex currency markets or is it best left to the banks?
Q. I have just converted a website bought on Ebay to my own. Its called Evan though I re-designed the site with banners etc, I am very nervous about actually trading myself. All the bumph on the site says it is recession proof and you can make a lot of money.

A. 99% of Forex programs and ideas are going to lose money rather than make money. You need to find a program or idea that hardly anyone knows about since those are going to be making you the most money. You should read lots of articles about the Forex system and see which one sound plausible and which ones sound like a total scam. Model your site on the ones that seem plausible because that going to get you the most business. has some great articles and it isn't as well known as other so you should be able to get some good advice from there.

Taxes on income from share trading in US markets?
Q. Hi, I am looking for some insights into taxes on income from share trading. Specifically, - What is the rate of tax cuts? - Are there different rates for short term and long term investments? - When I receive the profit money from the broker will it be post deduction? Let me know if you know of any useful resources online! Thanks!

A. You are dealing not only with income tax but also with capitol gains tax. For capitol gains, there are different rates for short term and long term investments. Most brokers do not deduct for taxes. If they do, it should show up on the annual 1099 forms they send you.

What are the different trade markets of the world and how do they differ?
Q. I know the ones in the U.S. are NASDAQ and NYSE. What are the other ones (i.e. the one in London and Japan)? How do they differ in terms of stability and the types of companies they include? I'm kind of new to the worldwide economic trading stage so any help is appreciated.

A. The major worldwide markets are as follows: US > as you have mentioned NYSE, NASDAQ and also OTC, Pink Sheets etc. Canada > TSE (Toronto) (which also took over the VSE Vancouver Exchange) Europe > FTSE and DAX Asia > Nikkei (Japan), Hang Seng (Hong Kong), Straits (Singapore), Bursa (Kuala Lumpur), There are also Exchange in China, Taiwan, Korea, Taiwan. Each of these exchange works primarily on the asme principles, though the difference mainly is the criteria one needs to get listed in each of the exchanges. The US boards are probably the hardest to get listed on. For stability, there is no certainty as you can see from what happened recently with financial crisis worldwide. This, as most ppl will agree, was simply cause by greedy… [cont.]
