Quotes of the day from previous years:

As for myself, I always willingly acknowledge my own self as the principal cause of every good and of every evil which may befall me; therefore I have always found myself capable of being my own pupil, and ready to love my teacher. ~ Giacomo Casanova

If we do discover a complete theory, it should in time be understandable in broad principle by everyone, not just a few scientists. Then we shall all, philosophers, scientists, and just ordinary people, be able to take part in the discussion of the question of why it is that we and the universe exist. If we find the answer to that, it would be the ultimate triumph of human reason — for then we would know the mind of God. ~ Stephen Hawking

Personally I do not resort to force — not even the force of law — to advance moral reforms. I prefer education, argument, persuasion, and above all the influence of example — of fashion. ~ Rutherford B. Hayes (born 4 October 1822)

When can i expect SAT scores back for october 4 SAT?
Q. I want to apply to Penn State early but i want to increase my SAT score (which i am positive i will do better). Does anyone have any idea when the i would get my SAT score back

A. If you're asking when you'll get the scores back in order to apply to Penn State early, don't worry, the SAT scores will arrive on time if you take the SAT in October (November is also usually fine, but there's no guarantee). Just make sure that when you register, you put down Penn State as the college recipient of your test scores (you can put up to four colleges for free).

Any suggestion what to do in Tokyo for 3-4 days around September/October?
Q. We are planning to stopover in Tokyo, Japan for only 3-4 days before our long trip. It would be September/October. Could anyone please give me some idea what to do like tourist attractions around Tokyo? And is it possible to go to Kyoto or Osaka? Which one best? Oh oh... and how much money we would need (2 of us) in Japan for 4 days? We prefer to stay in a clean nice inexpensive ryokan. We live it to you guys... Please advise. Thanks before
