Q. I have heard that good job opportunity exist in China plus the Chinese people are very nice and the country is very beautiful. I am planning to move there for some time, moreover I also want to learn Chinese language. Although I have heard that foreigners in China who can speak Chinese are able to earn good money but my concern is that while I am process of learning Chinese would I be able to find a decent job so that I am able to meet my living expenses?

A. Yes it is possible, it all depends on your skills and how much they are needed to China. Having a degree in a subject and several years work experience in it is useful. But you have not really told us what your strengths are. At least you can do is teach English in China. However you simply cannot just move, you will need the correct visas and paperwork to be able to do so.

A. By teaching them something fun or something that they want to learn. This is how it is done in Kindergarten. Food, play, short poems (remember Seuss), Chinese things like chopsicks, noodles, mother, dad. Sing, color or draw but do not spend so much time that it will loose their attention. Take breaks for exercise. See below for an interesting website.

What's the difference between Chinese and Japanese symbols?
Q. I have a necklace that my aunt made and it has a symbol on it. I know it's either Chinese or Japanese but I'm trying to find out what it means. So if you could tell me what the difference is between Chinese and Japanese symboling that would be great! Thanks.

A. As some have mentioned, the Japanese writings consist of Hiragana, and Katakana and Kanji. Hiragana, and Katakana is purely Jap characters. Kanji and Chinese share the same characters. While Kanji and Chinese may share the same characters, note that what it means and how it is pronounced is completely different!! If you ask someone in Japaneses (Kanji) " " it means "Are you ok/alright?" But in Chinese the EXACT same characters means "Male Chauvinist"!! Perhaps if you can scan in an image we can tell you what it means. =D
