Spaceflight is the use of space technology to achieve the flight of spacecraft into and through outer space. Spaceflight is used in space exploration, and also in commercial activities like space tourism and satellite telecommunications. Additional non-commercial uses of spaceflight include space observatories, reconnaissance satellites and other earth observation satellites. A spaceflight typically begins with a rocket launch, which provides the initial thrust to overcome the force of gravity and propels the spacecraft from the surface of the Earth. Once in space, the motion of a spacecraft -- both when unpropelled and when under propulsion -- is covered by the area of study called astrodynamics. Some spacecraft remain in space indefinitely, some disintegrate during atmospheric reentry, and others reach a planetary or lunar surface for landing or impact. From Wikipedia under the

From Google News Search: "Spaceflight" Is a manned spaceflight to Venus possible? Is its' surface good to land on? Q. I know its almost twice as far as Mars, but is it feasible? Asked by Tracy Terry - Tue Sep 18 16:22:05 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. Venus's 'atmosphere' is mainly nitric and sulphuric acid. Its proximity to the sun and a lack of a true atmosphere means the surface temperature is around 855 degrees F. Russian space probes have landed on Venus and found the topography to be extremely varied with obvious signs of geologic forces having shaped things. The longest a probe has ever survived on the surface of venus is a few minutes. The temperature and acidity alone makes a manned flight highly unlikely and extraordinarily dangerous. I don't believe the US has ever attempted even a remote landing, although the Russians landed several times. Ironically, the Russians were unable to successfully land on Mars, a comparatively docile planet. Answered by The Capn - Tue Sep 18 16:31:37 2007 What is the most dangerous part of spaceflight? Q. What is the most dangerous part of spaceflight? Asked by jim m - Mon Jan 21 04:22:20 2008 - - 49 Answers - 0 Comments A. I would be most afraid during the launch. The rest of the time if ground control get it wrong you can over ride them. During take off you are pinned into your seat and cannot move. Any error all you can do is pray. Q. if ever one thing of their costume might be lose during their spaceflight, what could be possibly happen to the astronauts? is it okay if their gloves willl not be at their present while they performing their flight into space? Asked by rena or nana - Wed Oct 4 23:42:29 2006 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. They usually are notin suits unles theyare going outside or oppening the door some for some reason losing pressure. They do not used the bulky gloves unless they have no choice. The advantage are they would die without the suits, the disadvantae is it doesn't last forever, and could puncture k8illing them. it's bulky and hard to manage.
